Hallpa Wasi is back!
This time we are planning a multidisciplinary workshop for those that are interested in the field of Architecture and Communication to continue our project of Hallpa Wasi located in the Andean town of Huachón, Perú.
Building up on the results of a very successful workshop Hallpa Wasi 1 that was realized last year, we are organizing a second edition from the 14th. – 21st. of April 2019.
The workshop will focus on a participatory process with the community of Huachón to promote and integrate the building of Hallpa Wasi into the local dynamics of the village and to transmit knowledge about advantages of local earth construction and anti-seismic rammed earth construction.
Additionally we will finish some works that are still pending to get running the building (for example earth plastering of walls, stone laying for a damp-proofing floor, etc.).

Hallpa Wasi ist zurück!
Cinthia Condor organisiert zusammen mit dem peruanischen Kollektiv IntuyLab eine zweite Edition des internationalen Bauworkshops Hallpa Wasi mit Unterstützung der Universität Stuttgart und mit Finanzierung des Stuttgarter Change Labs.
Basierend auf den Ergebnissen des erfolgreichen Workshops Hallpa Wasi 1, der im September letzten Jahres stattfand, findet die zweite Edition vom 13. bis 21. 04 2019 statt.
Diesmal planen wir einen multidisziplinären Workshop für Interessierte im Bereich Architektur und Kommunikation, um unser Projekt Hallpa Wasi im Andendorf Huachon, Peru, fortzusetzen.
Der Workshop konzentriert sich auf einen partizipativen Prozess mit der Andengemeinschaft Huachón, um den Bau von Hallpa Wasi zu fördern und in die lokale Dynamik des Dorfes zu integrieren und das Wissen über die Vorteile des lokalen Lehmbaus und des erdbebensicheren Stampflehmbaus zu vermitteln.
Darüber hinaus werden wir einige noch ausstehende Arbeiten fortsetzen (z.B. Verputzen von Wänden, Abdichtung der Steinwände gegen aufsteigende Bodenfeuchtigkeit usw.)
